In the wake of the near and record high temperatures we are having in CA, there was no choice yesterday, but to get some other work done. A month’s worth of laundry left out to dry greenly in the sun, and weed pulling. Those nasty little critters start growing in December. Give them three days of daytime warmth and they are suddenly two feet high. If you don’t get them in this first flush of warm weather, and before the moisture is out of the soil, you’ll never get them out of the clay soil we have.
There was a time when this kind of activity occurred in March or even late February. It’s disturbing that it happened so early this year. However, I’m taking solace from the fact that I am not in the midst of a minus 36 degrees windchill freezer like a large number of citizens in the Dakotas today.
As a final ode to a dog ate my homework story, I’ve spent the last four hours trying to set links and edit changes to this post, and they wouldn’t hold on this post. I don’t know what the deal was, but they seem to be working now.

The only comfort I have in the shameful display of That One worship is knowing that Hillary will be in the big chair at Foggy Bottom.
Thank you for the promoting. I hope we are reaching the point where the shooting stops. I just hope that the peace that is secured will stop the rockets for good and that we don’t have to witness yet another sequel.
Good luck with the weeds, and think of us out here. It’s too cold for there not to be snow!
