As you have all heard by now, the Credentials Committee met Sunday. Did you catch it on CSPAN? As was requested both Michigan and Florida regained full delegate status and will have the opportunity to cast their votes in the upcoming roll call nominating votes. Carl Levin of Michigan and others, including all along Hillary Clinton, have been pushing for just this event.
Others, such as the Iowa leaders are not so happy because they fear their place, as first state to vote, will be jeopardized by the ruling.
While on the surface this should look good for the Clinton Delegation keep in mind that the four Michigan delegates taken from her have not been returned. In addition, other Clinton delegates have been replaced with Obama delegates, for often suspicious reasons.
Six assigned Florida delegates were replaced some time ago with Obama delegates, one additional Michigan delegate was removed after she discussed the possibility of voting for McCain, one or more were replaced in Kentucky with Obama Delegates in a suspicious attempt to create gender equality. A lawsuit is in progress for Kentucky.
While gender equality is necessary for the various committees, it it’s not certain that this is so for delegates at large. In addition, there were HRC alternates available and not chosen. Another delegate for Colorado had to hire a lawyer when the local DNC tried to remove her for vocally supporting Clinton. Finally the California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, told the State Congress, many of whom are delegates, that they were to stay in the state in order to complete the state budget.
As such, any roll call vote is still unlikely to produce an outcome other than Obama as nominee.
Games are still being played regarding the actual voting process. Even though the Clinton nominating roll call is likely to happen delegates are being asked to pledge their vote by ballot early in their hotel rooms and stick to it. This is being done under the guise of security, but really to present a face of unity for the media. There is some discussion that dissenting states will be passed over, (technically legal) and placed at the end of voting so that the media cameras will not record the dissent. Confusion is the operative tool in use right now, by the Obama Campaign. Veteran delegates, even those present at the 1968 Convention, report to PUMA they have never seen it this bad.

Hey, is anyone talking to the Guam Delegates? That vote was really close. Seems like they ought to get a big PUMA welcome to Denver!
