What is important in this election? Are these goals of PUMAs? No! See, I think the story below is a good example of how rumor currents can begin from the far right, wash across and infect the left. I mean, do we really care about this? Isn’t this a deep dishonesty, when the only desired answer promotes one side? Or is this just playing politics?
This election is about voter disenfranchisement, election engineering, bad machines, and what we do know about the candidates’ platforms. Yes, it’s also about who is getting dissed. Let’s be mindful of who is doing the dissing. Don’t be caught in the rip tide of this bad wave:
Chris Cannon gets curiouser and curiouser
Rob Inglis | Nov 02, 2008 11:55 AM
[Loyal GOAT readers have already read the tale of Chris Cannon, the ultra-conservative, oil-shale-promoting U.S. House member from Utah who got beat in this year’s Republican primary after he made the mistake of being open to compromise on immigration….]

What I don’t understand about this article is why it didn’t come out until the week before the election? Don’t we want the candidates opinion on Yucca Mountain?
Think again before going nuclear
ESSAY – October 29, 2008
By Russ Doty
[Both major candidates for president are effusive in their praise of alternative ways of producing energy, and their lists of how to go green usually include nuclear power. John McCain’s energy plan calls for 45 new nuclear power plants. Barack Obama is less enthused; he says he’d go forward only if the problems of nuclear waste disposal and safety problems were solved. Enthusiasm aside, neither candidate admits that nuclear power remains a bargain with the devil….]
It appears that a few other banks, like The Bank of America I mentioned recently, are trying to do loan modifications, but the investors are not.

[When Congress passed the mortgage rescue bill in July, politicians touted help for homeowners as a big part of the legislation. By Oct. 1, the Federal Housing Admin. was to set up a program that would back, with $300 billion in guarantees, the refinanced loans of homeowners in trouble. Lenders who wanted to participate would take a 10 percent loss on the loan in return for the government guarantee….]

Hmmm, Maybe Petraeus Wasn’t So Hot on Going to Syria
By SPENCER ACKERMAN 11/3/08 10:35 AM
On Friday, I flagged an ABC story reporting that Gen. David Petraeus had requested permission to talk with the Syrian government as part of his new job as head of Central Command, only to be shot down by the Bush administration. I speculated that it might be another example of congruence with Sen. Barack Obama’s foreign-policy instincts. But a knowledgable source tells me ABC didn’t have it quite right.

Remember the immigration raid that brought national attention in May. It didn’t end there. Since Agriprocessors was the largest producer of kosher meat in in the US, expect your Hanukkah meal to be affected. Of course, it’s about more than Hanukkah; a town has been decimated, people arrested, families torn apart, some deported, and a food point that has depended on migrant help since the dawn of our industrial age is struggling. It is the quintessential election point we are not discussing.

Contains a video, but if you are on dial up, bypass it and read the articles and score card of candidates. I think the issue list is missing some feminist viewpoints; the inclusion of which, would result in McCain scoring higher.
The Most Important Presidential Election Ever. Really.
