President-elect Barack Obama will nominate New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson as Commerce secretary tomorrow at an 11:40 a.m. EST news conference in Chicago, according to a transition source.

There’s lot of interesting tidbits to ponder in this selection, like the future of telecommunications and Media, and fixing the omnipresent MSM misogyny, articulations with minority workers, and whether we’ll have adequate staffing in our weather service bureau. Or, how about the big one, hiring more women! We’ll be watching. Fingers, eyes, fingers!
