-UPDATE-
Anyone want to place a bet that the Senate will hold passing of these bills until the new Prez can sign them? Read Heidi Li’s post HERE. Then tell me I’m wrong. With Brazille on the the Editorial Staff of MS, the upcoming edition looks pretty well planned to stick another finger in someone’s eye. Any of our Democratic candidates, had they become president, would have signed these bills into acts.
-UPDATE-
For those of you that are still a little unclear on why this matters, read Senator Harkins Summation of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, Fair Pay Act, and Fairness Paycheck Act HERE. The bills are not yet showing up in Thomas.gov for the Senate. However, Hillary Rodham Clinton reintroduced the Senate version of the Paycheck Fairness Act, on January 8th as counterpart to to the HR.12, introduced by Representative Rosa DeLauro, and passed today in the House, with the Ledbetter Bill.
Here was yesterday’s day’s Senate Schedule of items not related to confirmation hearings. They expect to take up Ledbetter after the Coburn Omnibus bill.
