A funny thing happened on the way to the debate. Some guy name Paulson told some other folks that life as we know it was about to come to an end, and pretty soon, with no credit, we’d all be back to the barter system or the gold standard or some darn thing.
Folks was gonna be living hand to mouth and lucky to have a job, and forget livin’ to be old, ‘cause you know, we’d probably starve by then with no 401K. So Paulson told some people called senators all about this, and boy! Was there a stir! So them senators got together and figured a senator’s gotta do, what a senator’s gotta do! You know, the thing they got hired to do in the first place, cogitate and say Yea! Or Nay!

I don’t know about you, but a one person debate sounds more like a speech to me. How will this drama play out? I just heard from PocPuma that even Rendell thinks it a good idea to take care of business! And really, can you get any more snarky, then over the “deal with more than one thing at once” comment? They are both senators first after all! Interesting maneuvering going on.

We now know that the DNC did everything in their power to make sure Barack Obama would be the Democratic nominee for President. Never mind what the voters wanted, this is the year the DNC decided to nominate a black man. Anyone who thought Hillary Clinton was the better candidate was screamed at, called a racist, and told to either stand aside or get out of the Party. The DNC even scheduled their convention so the winner would accept the nomination on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech. Accident? I don’t think so.
So, this is an interesting juxtaposition to the recent AP survey on race, the reports on the HIV crisis, Katrina rebuilding, and unemployment.
We surely know by now that McCain will fight and must have a plan as well. What might be his reasoning for agreeing to this location choice? Who would be his audience? (more…)

Why government statistics are a better thing than this, and we go ’round in circles.
-Update: apparently Paul Sniderman was involved in at least helping to score the survey. It still isn’t clear whether he helped develop it, although he has ages of experience in teaching race relations. His name runs back to the Clinton years with his first book, “The Scar of Race” published in 1993.-

[How else do we explain the AP-Yahoo study that purports to show that one third of Democrats will not vote for Obama because of his race. Only 59% of Clintonistas will vote for Obama (Really? We’ve been that successful?! Alright! {{high-fives all around}}). So there must be a correlation between the reluctance of these former Hillary people and their prejudices….]

Recently on BlogTalk Radio My-Two-Cents, the subject of Jerome Corsi came up again. So here is my view: Jerome Corsi is a right winged rabid bat bigoted sexist hatemonger that should be netted and succumb to his disease before he infects anyone else.
The longer you let a rabid bat feed, the more he infects. THEREFORE, DO NOT BUY HIS BOOK! DO NOT SUPPORT THE INFECTION OF FUTURE GENERATIONS! I’m not saying don’t read it. It’s always good to know the enemy. Just go to the library, or borrow it from one of those who succumbed and didn’t know his history. An interesting kerfluffle has arisen in Michigan. No doubt the Obama campaign had an ulterior motive in picking Michigan. After all, they have a lot of PR work to do in making up for their own delegate theft. That Michigan might turn out to be one of the battleground states, makes the stakes all the higher.
