Where’s the Money?

Something is afoot!

All you acountants, help out here! Verify for your self what you think this means!

Last night, after reading the anecdotal information in Matthew Weaver’s blog on No Quarter, I decided to write one of my own. I think only time will tell whether the unverified information of which Mathew writes, represents any wide spread nefariousness.

In any event, there I was checking out the FEC web site for monthly figures, when the 2:00 am sleepies finally took over. This morning I went back. Low and behold the candidates’ figures have been changed to reflect a period through Oct 15th! Continue Reading »

Real News places a great deal of information in their videos. In dial up of course, this is a problem. However, this article also contains a partial transcript of the interview, located at the bottom of the page.  If the video is annoying, just click the two bars at the bottom left of the video to stop it.

Is there any doubt that the use of melamine is widespread in china?

Is there any question, that a global economy requires global inspection? Despite the daily struggles of those souls trying to stem the tide, is there any doubt we don’t have that?

Global (horrors!)

Fool’s Gold

I bought my first home at the end of 1995. It was a 1950’s starter home, built in the big growth period that identified so much of the California Baby Boom generation.  It was a familiar sort of home and neighborhood, since my early days were spent in such homes when they were new.  It was a fixer, and I paid a little less then $90,000. Even then that was a steal. My neighbor, in back of me had paid $115,000, for his; a couple of years prior. Continue Reading »
