I’ll just say it. We’ve done better at housekeeping than now. I gave up beating myself about it, because I’ve had other things on my mind, like traveling daily a hundred miles or more for my job, or spending time on my business or the myriad other things that must get shoved into too little time.
However, occasionally someone in our family finds it; a couple slices of bread, an english muffin, left still wrapped and forlorn after a month’s sojourn in the cupboard.
I buy only brown, I buy mostly organic. Yet there it sits, still soft and not a speckling of mold. SOMETHING IS WRONG!
Is this a metaphor?

-UPDATE-
Rocky Mountain News has reported that the advertisement cost of this event for a wannabe president was 4 million.
They’ve called him a Lightworker and the Messiah. If you thought that was whooey, an opposing reason has turned up! You should know about the separatists, who keep trying to divide California. It’s been going on for years. It’s really just another devious plot to engender partisan separatism. See, Lightworkers and the Messiah complex are all about Northern California; specifically the Bay Area.
What’s going to happen tonight, is all about Southern California, North Hollywood, and specifically, Tony Robbins!
Frankly, even though I live in Northern California, I like the Robbins explanation better. I’d prefer not to have these factions fighting when Arnold just told us he’s going to have to raise taxes, and cut back schools.
Make a statement. Watch “Pushing Up Daisies” tonight, instead of being a party to the ‘THE GREAT COMING”. Why does anyone need to spend another 1 million to sell you? Support the channel that didn’t go there. Or, if you just can’t, watch PBS, or READ A BOOK!
It’s always more clear, later, in the transcript of the words. After all, isn’t that what he has to adhere to? His word? If you just have to watch, download the PDF in the link first, and stand prepared!

The ACLU launched a voter outreach program today. It’s a little late for most states in terms of registration for the Presidential Election on November 4th.
However, there is still some good information to be gleaned from their page HERE.
They have provided a map with information to be downloaded for each state and Washington DC. I downloaded a voter pamphlet from California. It took about 2 minutes on dial up. Since I have a Mac, the downloads are always interesting. Using Firefox, the download went directly to my desktop. Those of us that have Safari, or maybe some other system, always have to stare at a black or blank page for those two minutes. It’s disconcerting when the bottom of the page tells you your page has failed to load. Bear with it. Eventually you’ll get a two page fold out card. To print it, you’ll have to run it twice.
In any event, just to read what it says, zoom the page, and you’ll find fascinating information on your rights. These include your legal rights if you are homeless, are currently or have been incarcerated. Many who have been through the penal system can currently vote. However, it depends on the state and your conviction.
If you missed the deadline to register for this election, plan for the next.

A few years ago I took a trip, with my husband, granddaughter and dogs, to visit one of my daughters. At that time she was living in Leander, Texas. We rented an RV, picked up my granddaughter in Southern California, and proceeded along interstate 10 to El Paso, where we turned northward. As is my wont on trips, I found a lesser-used road, and drove smack dab into the middle of the Texas sage. Bumping along at 55 mph, on a two-lane road, and 70 miles from El Paso, we were stopped by the Border Patrol. Continue Reading »

WeHo Homeowners Pull Down Sarah Palin Effigy
Oct 29, 2008 7:19 pm US/Pacific
[WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (CBS) ―
An effigy of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been taken down from a West Hollywood home, after the homeowner discussed the situation with the city’s mayor….]
The action of hanging a person’s effigy is always an expression of hate. So it is that a clueless West Hollywood artist has displayed his.
There were several symbolic statements he could have made in his Palin effigy. He could have made a statement that it was an expression of the regard she has been given in October, the Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
He could have said this act was a statement of the conditions of the MSM.
He could have made a Halloween statement by caricaturing all the candidates, instead of just Palin and McCain.
He wanted to make a scary, spooky statement. He was pleased that the tourist buses were stopping. However, his video statement on the outrage this would have created had it been Obama, provides the clue.
It’s clear in his artistic endeavor, that Chad Michael Morissette is one most afraid.
Misogyny will do that.
Can there be a lesson in this?
